Cleanroom Jobs
Clean room jobs may be an unfamiliar term to many people. However, to those who work in the technological field, the term is well known. Clean room jobs can be entry level or supervisory positions, but nearly all require a great deal of physical stamina and attention to detail.
Though clean room jobs tend to be in the technological fields, there are many different types of jobs available within the technological sector. The process of manufacturing semiconductors, which are the chips and discs that are in nearly every computer, requires a detailed process that provides many different jobs in the clean rooms in which the semiconductors are manufactured. These jobs range from equipment assembly to inspector to supply checker to the actual assembler.
Many of these jobs, however, are entry level and do not necessarily have many requirements. Though it is different in each industry and each company, there is not much experience required for these jobs, though a college degree is often a requirement. Having a criminal record can often be a disqualifier for clean room jobs. The ideal employee for many clean room assembly jobs will be able to work flexible hours and have an excellent attention to detail. Excellent attention to detail is crucial, as many clean room jobs involve tiny parts that often require employees to work with microscopes. Motivation is also an important trait in those who work in clean rooms, as it is in many other jobs, and those who are motivated will be the first to be promoted.
Promotions are often a possibility, as clean rooms do have many positions for supervisors. The number of supervisor positions will depend on the size of the company that one works for. The responsibility of the supervisors will also differ based on the needs of the company that one works for.
With the variety of clean room jobs available, many people may be eager to apply for a position working in a clean room. Be sure, however, that the detail-oriented, physically demanding requirements of a clean room job are something that you can handle on a day to day basis.
